This is a 500MW combined-cycle power plant (ZANJAN-4), located next to Soltaniyeh power plant at 25th Km Zanjan to Qazvin road.
The owner of the project is Zanjan regional electric company (ZREC) on behalf of Thermal Power Plants Holding Company (TPPH). The contractors of this project are Hyundai Engineering Co. (HEC) and Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO). This 500MW project is based on the latest technology and generators are class H with over 60% efficiency. Basic negotiation was based on B.O.O but later with changes in the policy of the inventors the contract was change to B.O.T.
Presently licenses in relation to the land and environmental regulations have been approved and basic studies have been done and getting the sovereign guarantee and financing arrangement are in progress.
